An ex-girlfriend once told me "it's me or the video games". Hence the ex.

Okay, I made that up. But it's not far from the truth.

In case you didn't already figure it out, I am one of those avid gamers, capable of 30-hour marathons without batting an eyelash. Been one since 1985. I hold Warren Spector in the same regard others would Ozzy Osbourne or George Clooney.

These days I mostly spend time ensnared by my Xbox 360 and PS3. My wallet hasn't been able to keep up with today's PC demands for a long while. That's not to say I don't clock in the odd hour on PC as well.

Regarding genres, it's more about what I don't play. RPG's, old-school point & click adventure games and driving games hold the top tier, but are certainly not alone. I mostly shy away from MMO's and most sports games.

My handle on all platforms - Xbox Live, PSN, Steam etc. - is Wasara. Please don't take offense if I don't add you back immediately. I like to know who I'm playing with.

As goes the norm, I'm on Facebook. It's a good service, I've always liked it. In regard to forging bonds of fellowship within this e-social playground, my rule of thumb is I won't add people whose face I don't recognize, i.e. we need to have met.

In case you were wondering, I find Facebook's subscription option pretty pretentious, so it'll stay turned off. I'm not a celebrity and wouldn't even pretend to think I inspire curiosity about how sultry my latest sandwich tasted.

A new addition is the Twitter account I've recently set up (under duress) to illustrate my existence in chunks of 140 characters or less. I don't really know what to do with it. For the time being it's just kind of... there. Suggestions?

You can, of course, always e-mail me with queries and whatnot. If you add my address to any kind of spam or group list, I hope you get raped by a hippo.
